50 Shades of Grey Book Review: Chapter Twelve
Anastasia sends a joke e-mail to Christian and he shows up at her apartment.

Stalker.
Rule one of online communication, Ana, you need to be careful about what you write. Don’t be stupid.

So Christian is at her apartment, trying to change her mind by having sex with her.
Again, this isn’t romantic. THIS IS GROUNDS FOR A RESTRAINING ORDER.

If you don’t want to read about sex, stop reading now.
Christian ties Ana’s hands back and blindfolds her. He also puts some wine on her stomach and navel, and tells her if she spills it, he will punish her.
Well, she spills it, of course, but there isn’t any real punishment, just a bunch of poorly-written smut.
You can read again. It was a horrible sex scene.

Christian leaves, and Ana rages over how much she wants Christian to be normal. She says it is the first time she wishes it, after they have sex and she feels empty, but I’ve been reading these feelings every chapter.
Ana e-mails Christian about the rules of the contract she dislikes, which is most of them, and they say they will discuss it on Wednesday.
There wasn’t much to this chapter if you took out the sex.
Blech.
